To the parents sending their children into the world, and to the students ready to fly.
The three of us who built PathCAN are, first and foremost, mothers. We didn't learn about the worries of international study from a market report; we have lived them. Some of us are living them right now, with our own children studying far from home in Canada and the United States. We know the quiet that settles over a house after the plane lifts off. We know how a short video call can become the best part of the week. We know the pride and the worry that sit side by side and never quite let go.
So when we tell you we understand, we don't just mean it in theory. We know this journey because we have walked it.
We chose the name PathCAN for a simple reason. Path, for the journey. CAN, for the two words we want every student to confidently say out loud one day—I can—and the reality we want every parent to finally believe. We walk this path with you in three clear steps. First, we help you study, finding the right school and getting accepted. Then comes the experience, as you arrive, find your people, and start working, while we carry the burden of rules and paperwork so you can get on with living. Finally, we watch you thrive, as you grow, settle, and build a life that makes the distance worth it.
To the student leaving home, please know you are more ready than you feel. You are going to cook your first real meal, navigate a new city, and find a study group that turns into family. We aren't here to do that for you—that is you, becoming exactly who you are meant to be. We are simply here to make sure you are never out there alone.
To the parent staying behind, we ask the exact same questions you do about our own children. Is it safe? Are the rules being followed? Is someone looking out for them? We want to carry that worry now so you don't have to carry it by yourself. We provide the welcome, the community, and the trusted guidance to keep them secure. You raised them well. Let us help with the rest.
We began this path in Canada. But a child ready to fly, and a parent learning to trust the process—that is a story shared by families in every country. So, that is where we are going next.
You can. And we will be walking right beside you, just the way we wish someone had walked beside us.
With love and from experience,
